Taylor Technology

Taylor Elementary School strives to provide access to and use of integrated technology with all students and staff. Through access to these tools there will be increased learning and productivity. As a result, our students and staff are prepared for the ever-changing technological world of today. Having state of the art equipment, utilizing applications to their fullest extent and providing constant training will continue to improve integration.
Instructional technology incorporates a variety of necessary tools in our school environment. These are used to access and share information, provide instructional delivery and provide personal productivity. Over the last 5 years, state/local funding and PTA supplements have moved Taylor from stand-alone, small-memory computers to a fiber optic / Ethernet Windows 7 / Mac OS X network of computers and digital video. The Technology Skills for Instructional Personnel standards have raised the bar for technology-competent staff members to fully integrate technology with instruction utilizing the Levels of Teacher Implementation Scale (LoTi).
Tablet and i-Pad piloting, hopefully, will lead us, as a school, to a 1-on-1 initiative in conjunction with our proposed stEm Exemplary Project in January, 2012. As technology changes, Taylor Elementary School is dedicated to ensuring the best possible access to and use of integrated technology with all students and staff. We believe all students and staff can increase learning, productivity and gain knowledge through the integrated use of technology within all curriculum and production areas.
