Operation Rain Barrel is BACK!
8th Grade Visual Art Students are hard at work on the 2013 Rain Barrel! The Rain Barrel will be auctioned off at the Founder's Hall at the GMU Arlington Campus on Sunday, April 21st from 12-4:30pm. All are welcomed to come out and celebrate Earth Day
at GMU at 3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington VA 22201
The National Scholastic Scholarship Exhibition will be at the Central Library from March 4th-April 3rd.
***The Awards Ceremony is Monday, March 18th at 6:30pm***(cancelled on Wednesday, March 6th due to inclement weather) at the Washington Lee High School (1301 N. Stafford Street). Due to the large amount of submissions, only Gold awarded art work will be on display at the Central Library (1015 N. Quincy Street).
Original Works is back!
Come to the art room (214) to get the paper and packet. Create your artwork on the designated paper with bold colors using markers, oil pastels or tempera paint. Make sure your words are inside at least one inch around the border. Put a 'T" for the top on the back using a pencil as well as your full name, STAR teacher's name, and Grade. All artwork needs to be finished by March 22nd.
