Welcome to Room 114!
We are a Secondary Transition class consisting of an awesome team of four adults and ten students.
We have many exciting things planned from field trips, events, to community based instruction involving both on campus and off campus job sites. Our focus is on functional academic content areas; reading, math, science and social studies, with a strong emphasis on life skills and vocational job training. Lessons include stories, comprehension activities, social skills, math (time, money, counting and problem solving), as well as craft projects, science experiments and vocational projects.
Our primary goal is to assist our students to become as independent as possible in preparation for their adult life. It is also our goal that our students’ school experience will be filled with personal growth as thinkers and learners. We are looking forward to a very successful school year!
