P.E. Teacher

My name is C. Renee Seay and I have been teaching at Claremont since it opened 11yrs. ago.  I have been teaching physicaleducation for over 26 years and enjoy working with students.   Besides elementary P.E. I have taughtHigh School P.E.,  Middle School dance and piloted the dance program for Arlington Summer Laureate.   I earned a B.S. Degree from Troy University and a M.A. from George Mason University.  I also hold a level XIV Certificate of Study from The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts.  I decided to become a Physical educationteacher because I had enjoyed participating and competing in athletics since Iwas in elementary school; and I wanted to help others learn to enjoy physicalactivity.  I believe students can increasetheir knowledge in fitness, nutrition, integrative curriculum and many lifeskills for daily living through physical education.  I believe that all children have a right tolearn and that a good solid foundation that is based on developing the manyaspects of the learning spectrum helps to create a well rounded student.  I have lived in Virginia for over 30 years.  I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. Outside of school I enjoy traveling, interior decorating, the beach and the visual and performing arts.

Jason Cash
P.E. Teacher

My name is Jason Cash and this is my fourth year of teaching at Claremont.  Since graduating from Virginia Tech in 1992, I have experienced teaching tenures at various levels of education including middle school, high school, and college.   Actually, my first job out of college was with Swanson Middle School.  In 1998, after attending a four month training center in Blansko, Czech Republic, I moved my family to Venezuela for almost two years where I taught English and hosted various teams from the US and Canada.  Upon the our return to the US in 2001, I had the opportunity to direct and lead another training center in PA for six years which involved extensive travel outside of the country.   I  live with my wife and four children in Harrisburg, PA . . . and yes, I drive it almost every day!

Kathleen Willer
P.E. Teacher

Before coming to Claremont this year, I worked at a therapeutic day school for students with emotional disabilities teaching both Health and Physical Education. Working closely with students to improve their overall health and wellness was extremely rewarding for me. Here at Claremont, I enjoy everyone's positive attitude toward living a healthy and active lifestyle. At home, I have two very energetic little ones - Abigail (4) and Colin (1) - who keep us busy. I enjoy rehabbing our home, going on vacation, and spending time with our extended family.
