Total Communications/ Deaf HOH

Welcome to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program!

The Total Communication/Deaf-HOH Program at Patrick Henry serves students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. We teach using a Total Communication philosophy, using both Sign Language and spoken English to allow our students full access to information depending on their own language needs.

We have three Deaf/HOH classrooms: Preschool(2&3), Preschool(4) & Kindergarten and Grades 1-5.

For our parents we offer weekly Sign Language classes in both English and Spanish. We also offer a parent/family group to help connect families with various resources throughout the region.

If you have any questions about the Total Communication Classroom, Sign Language, or Deaf Education please feel free to email anna.clark@apsva.us
